Pedestrian killed by car on M3 near Bagshot

Surrey Police are now appealing for witnesses

A witness appeal has been launched after a pedestrian was killed on the M3 near Bagshot.

The fatal collision took place on the northbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 3 shortly after 5am on Sunday (22 February).

It involved a car and a pedestrian, a man in his 20s, who died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed, according to police.

Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have yet been made.

The M3 northbound lane was closed for several hours for initial enquiries but has since reopened.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the collision or has relevant CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage.

Additionally, officers would like to speak with anyone who saw a pedestrian approaching the M3 via The Maultway.
