Fatal car crash in Yateley leaves an 18-year-old dead
Four people were involved in the single car collision on Saturday night
Authorities are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a fatal car accident in Yateley.
Police were called to the incident involving a blue Ford Focus on Cricket Hill Lane shortly after 9:30pm on Saturday, 15th August.
Emergency services attended the scene where an 18-year-old man from Fleet was taken to hospital with serious injuries but died later.
Another 18-year-old man was also injured, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Two other individuals sustained minor injuries.
An 18-year-old man from Fleet has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Edward Crofts from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit stated: “An investigation has been launched to establish the full circumstances of this collision, in which a young man has sadly lost his life.
"As part of our enquiries, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have seen the car shortly beforehand near the A30 / A327 roundabout."
He added that the police are particularly interested in dash cam or CCTV footage.
"Our thoughts remain with those affected by this incident, and specialist officers will be supporting the family of the 18-year-old man who passed away."
