Woman in life-threatening condition after collision in Fairlands
Her and another pedestrian remain in hospital with serious injuries
A woman was transported to hospital in an air ambulance today (14 May) after her and another pedestrian were hit by a car.
Police were called to he A323 Aldershot Road near the junction with Fairlands Avenue, at around 12.20pm.
They were responding to reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians.
Both pedestrians, a man and a women, sustained serious injuries from the collision.
The woman was air-lifted to hospital for treatment by an air ambulance, where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
A 37-year-old man from Gomshall has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving uninsured.
The A323 Aldershot Road remains closed southbound from the roundabout with Holly Lane to Gravetts Lane. The road is open northbound from Guildford past Fairlands.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to help clarify the circumstances of the collision
