Elmbridge driver charged after cyclists injured in van incidents
Court appearance follows allegations of dangerous driving and failing to stop
A motorist from Walton has appeared in court charged with driving offences after cyclists were reportedly injured in three separate incidents in Elmbridge.
55 year old Stuart Pringle faced charges at Guildford Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He is charged with three counts of dangerous driving, three counts of failing to stop following a collision, three counts of battery, and driving while unfit through drugs.
The alleged incidents took place on 11th August, leaving several cyclists with minor injuries, Surrey Police stated.
The first incident occurred at approximately 8.10am on Molesey Road, where a cyclist travelling north was allegedly hit by a grey Citroen Berlingo van from behind before the vehicle drove away.
Similar collisions were reported at around 8.30am on Hepworth Way in Walton-on-Thames and at approximately 9.35am on Thames Street in Sunbury-on-Thames.
Pringle has been scheduled to next appear at Guildford Crown Court on 10th September.
