Keith Thripp has legally changed his name to Keith Dorking Wanderers FC Thripp.
A Dorking Wanderers FC fan has taken his dedication to his club to a whole new level
Keith Thripp, has legally changed his name to Keith Dorking Wanderers FC Thripp after falling in love with the football club
"I love the club and the football and everything else that goes with it. And my bedroom is full of Dorking Wanderers memorabilia. And I got up from work one day, I was sitting on my bed getting ready to go to work and I thought, I'm going to change my name to Dorking Wanderers.
So I just went online filled in the online forms, paid the fee. And it's literally it's all done and it's with you at your home within say 48 hours. And I've got one one official certificate and then 10 copies"
On September 24th, Keith was invited down to meet the team as well as Marc White, manager and founder of the club
Alongside the name change, Keith also got a tattoo of the Dorking boss on his leg, Keith told us about Marc's reaction to the tattoo and the name change
"Well, I'd had it done and I sent him a photograph to show him that I'd had it done and he said to me that he didn't believe it. He thought it was some kind of sticker. So when I went to the game, I showed it to him and he was like, no, that's not possible. He was really surprised by it all.
And then when I changed my name to Keith Dorking Wanderer's FC Thripp, I showed him the certificate but then I got him and Jordan on the coaching staff to witness the signatures to validate my new name change."
Keith explained to us why the name change at tattoo made sense to him
"With me, what I like to do is if I'm involved in something, I give it my all. And I've found something that I was looking for within Dorking Wanderers, within the set up, within the football club, within the group of people. And it's a way of life for me now. I just love it."
