Disruption to train lines this weekend

There's disruption to the railways around Guildford this weekend - with buses replacing trains.

It's down to engineering works including a footbridge being removed and replaced at Bentley between Farnham and Alton.

Also electrical supplies will be improved at Ash Vale and track timbers upgraded between Cobham and Stoke D'Abernon.

The Ascot-Guildford-Alton line will be shut all weekend and there will be no passenger trains on the Surbiton to Effingham Junction route.
