A woman who survived childhood sexual abuse is preparing to take on the 2026 TCS London Marathon to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.

Chloe Cuthill will run the 26.2-mile race on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in support of the UK’s leading children’s charity.

Although she had originally planned to participate in the 2025 event, Chloe was forced to postpone due to an injury. She has since deferred her spot to next year and continues to train and fundraise with determination.

Chloe is aiming to raise £5,000 for the NSPCC, a goal she is steadily working toward.

All donations will support essential services like the NSPCC Helpline, which offers confidential support to adults concerned about the wellbeing of a child.

In addition to being a survivor, Chloe works as a Community Fundraising Manager for the NSPCC, giving her a deeply personal connection to the charity’s mission—both professionally and personally.

As a child, Chloe was groomed and sexually abused by a taxi driver who regularly transported her to school and dance lessons. Years later, after watching a program featuring survivors of sexual abuse, she reached out to the NSPCC Helpline.

“When I spoke to the helpline practitioner, he listened with such empathy and understanding,” Chloe shared. “I felt safe, heard, and, most importantly, believed.”

Chloe added, “That call was a turning point for me, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so proud to work at the NSPCC.

"Even though I had to delay my marathon run, it’s only strengthened my commitment to train harder and raise as much money as possible to support children and young people.”

Sarah Lambley, Supporter Fundraising Manager for the NSPCC, praised Chloe’s efforts: “It’s always inspiring to see supporters at events like the London Marathon, but it’s especially meaningful when our own colleagues go the extra mile. Chloe’s courage in sharing her story and her dedication to our cause make a real difference.”

She continued, “Every donation helps us maintain critical services like the Helpline and Childline, ensuring we can continue to support children facing abuse or any other challenges.”
