Fire size of five football pitches at Brentmoor Heath
Fire crews battle second wildfire in less than a week
Fire crews are tackling another large wildfire at Brentmoor Heath near West End in Woking.
Surrey Fire and Rescue were called out in the early hours of this morning (7 July) with several fire engines and multiple specialist vehicles being used to tackle the flames.
The fire is affecting over two hectares of land, approximately the size of five football pitches.
Residents and visitors are urged to avoid the area and nearby residents should keep windows and doors closed for safety.
A fire also broke out on the heath on Sunday (5 July).
Elsewhere fire crews were also called out to a blaze at Whitmoor Common near Guildford on Monday afternoon (6 July).
Four fire engines and multiple specialist vehicles were sent to the the fire, which covered four hectares.
