A resident from Bracknell Forest has been issued a £1,000 Fixed Penalty Notice after being caught fly-tipping at Longacres Garden Centre in Bagshot.

CCTV footage captured the woman dumping two suitcases in the car park, leading Surrey Heath Borough Council's Corporate Enforcement team to identify her through a DVLA vehicle registration check.

Fly-tipping is an offence under The Environment Act 1990, and the fine can be reduced to £800 if paid within 10 days.

Councillor Alan Ashbery, Surrey Heath Portfolio Holder for Built Environment and Regulation, confirmed the council's commitment to combating fly-tipping and thanked the enforcement team for their diligent work.

He encouraged residents to report any information on fly-tipping via the council's website to help maintain a clean and safe environment in Surrey Heath.
