Throughout today (February 26) at Ewbank's Auctions, various Beatles related artifacts will be on sale at Ewbank Auctions near Guildford.

The owner of Ewbank's auctions, Andrew Ewbank, told us although it is hard to give an accurate estimate, he expects the Beatles items to sell for around £15,000, with the entire collection of music memorabilia that's on sale tomorrow expected to fetch around £90,000

Andrew told us more about what was going on sale

"We've got some really fascinating Beatles related stuff from two different clients, one of which is the collection of legal documents that relate to the breakup of the Beatles.

They date to 1970, so pretty much a year after they broke up, and it's a whole bunch of legal lawyers' documents from a case brought by Paul McCartney against the other Beatles in 1970.

It's a real one-of-a-kind set of documents that relate to such an important time for the breakup of the band that are, let's face it, the world's biggest rock and roll band."

Also on sale are two special edition disc displays expected to fetch over a combined total of £18,000 pounds

One of which is the RIAA Award for Meet The Beatles and the other is Paperback Writer 'Disc' Award 1966.

Music AND Film

However it's not just music memorabilia that Ewbank's Auctions has on this week. In tomorrow's film memorabilia sale, the auction house is expecting to fetch £230,000 pounds.

Various items from old film sets will go on sale including item's from Andrew's childhood

"There's some Phantom Menace Star Wars stuff and obviously that was sort of 25 years ago now. We've got some practice lightsabers there that were stunt lightsabers from that film, so Obi-Wan Kenobi's stunt lightsaber from the movie.

There's a prop of Yoda's cane from that film as well. But there's things as well, you know, we've got things from other great films that I remember watching as a child. So like Alien, we've got an alien egg"

Andrew told us which item he would bid on if he was able to get involved himself

"In terms of investment pieces or really high ticket things we've got Conan the Destroyer's sword. So that's Arnold Schwarzenegger's screen used sword from the second Conan film.

It's his Atlantean sword that he found and discovered in the first movie. There was a couple of these made. It's estimated at 10 to 15,000 pounds."
