Armed police respond to reports of man kicking his dog and waving fake gun in Woking

They're appealing for any witnesses of the incident.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after they received multiple reports of a man kicking his dog in Woking at around 8pm on Monday (26th May).

The man allegedly also waved an imitation firearm on Ash Close.

Armed officers attended the scene and safely arrested a 57-year-old man from Woking on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

The dog was seized by officers and remains under their care.
