Police in Alton appealing after group fight left woman in 60s hospitalised

An appeal's being made by police in Alton into a fight which left a woman needing hospital treatment.

It's believed ten people were involved when it happened at around 1am on Saturday 26th April on Alton High Street.

Police say they found a woman in her 60s with head injuries after reports of a fight.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: "Police were called to the area, at the junction of Draymans Way, following reports of a fight. Approximately 10 people are believed to have been involved.

"On arrival, officers located a woman in her 60s with head injuries, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

"We’ve been conducting a number of enquiries including reviewing CCTV, and we believe there were a lot of people in the area who witnessed this, including members of the public recording the incident on their mobile phones."
