Citizens Advice Rushmoor in Aldershot is poised to become a central hub for veteran support as part of the expansion of the VALOUR network across the UK.

Minister for Veterans and People, Calvin Bailey MBE MP, visited the Aldershot site on 2nd November 2026 to commend its role in supporting veterans and their families in the community.

The centre is among 21 organisations receiving £13.2 million in funding to launch the second wave of VALOUR-recognised centres by early 2027, aiming to improve access to healthcare, employment, and housing for veterans.

Calvin Bailey said: "I've heard wonderful stories of how centres like Citizens Advice here in Rushmoor are making a real difference to people's lives. Joining the VALOUR system will help them support even more veterans and their families."

Calum Stewart, CEO of Citizens Advice Rushmoor, expressed optimism about the centre's future, saying: "Becoming a VALOUR-recognised centre is a huge step for Citizens Advice Rushmoor and for the veterans we support in Aldershot - Home of the British Army - and beyond. No veteran should have to navigate support alone."

Aldershot, home to the British Army, will benefit from strengthened community connections and tailored aid through local partnerships and expertise.

The initiative is part of the UK's 10-year Veterans Strategy, underpinned by government efforts to honour and assist those who have served the nation.
