At Aldershot Town's next home game, there will be a tribute for the 15-year-old who was murdered last week in Guildford

During the 15th minute of their match against Halifax, there will be a minutes applause as well as a banner raised, in memory of Luis Gabriel Guembes.

The 15-year-old was murdered in Stoke Park last Monday (January 19), there is now a large number of floral tributes at the site.

The tribute has been organised by fellow Aldershot town fan, 17-year-old Henry through a Facebook post, who told us he was thrilled to see how much people responded to the post

"I just wanted to do it for his close mates really. Obviously at the of the video she was at Facebook post. All I expected was just maybe a few likes but for it to hit the news and the radio and everything is just incredible.

I've had his close mates message me thanking me so much."

Henry added that he is confident of there being a good atmosphere at the game during that minute

"I already think in that stadium at the Halifax game on the 15th minute, it's going to be incredible for him, especially with that banner laid out at the front of the East Bank. I think the atmosphere is going to be really, really, really good."

The banner is knife crime themed and was designed Luis' friends with personal touches to Luis, and funded by Henry and his friends.

Henry added that he thinks it's incredibly important for people to try and find ways to be positive following events such as the one that happened last week

"The amount of people that have joined in and made it possible, shared it, reposted it, like I said, it's just incredible. It just proves that there's still people out there that want to make good out of bad scenarios instead of just thinking the worst."

The tribute was meant to take place last Saturday (January 24th) during Aldershot's game against Carlisle, however this match was postponed due to the weather.

Aldershot Town said they were deeply saddened in a statement.

"The club would like to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the young fan.

Losing one of our own is never easy, and the loss of someone so young makes this moment especially difficult for everyone connected to the club.

We are aware of a fan-organised tribute planned for the 15th minute of our fixture, which we fully welcome, with everyone at the club joining in paying their respects."
