Aldershot resident Amy Bell, 31, has been jailed for 12 weeks after admitting to 25 shoplifting offences targeting local businesses.

Bell, of Grosvenor Road, stole items including meat, cheese, sandwiches, chocolate, and drinks worth more than £1,200 from Co-op on North Lane.

She also stole £100 worth of fish from Sainsbury’s on Ash Road on 4th October.

Following an investigation, Bell was charged with 25 counts of theft from a shop and pleaded guilty to all offences.

Rushmoor Inspector Mike Hall highlighted the impact of Bell's actions on businesses, their employees, and the community.

Inspector Hall reassured the public that shoplifting will not be tolerated and urged shop owners and staff to continue reporting such incidents.
