A community order has been given to a 19-year-old man from Woodbridge after admitting making indecent images of children.

Jack Navarro, of Warwick Avenue, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday the 21st of September. At an earlier hearing he had pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.

He was handed a community order for 18 months, ordered to complete a 26-day programme and undertake a 15-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

On the 13th of August 2025, Navarro was arrested at his home address after police received intelligence to suggest he had uploaded category A images to the internet.

After a search of his property Navarro’s mobile phone was seized for forensic examination.

The following indecent images and videos were identified on Navarro’s phone:

  • 7 x Category A images and 61 x Category A videos
  • 9 x Category B images and 31 x Category B videos
  • 8 x Category C images and 4 x Category C videos

In addition to his sentence, Navarro was also made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay costs totalling £199.

An order was enforced for the destruction of Navarro’s mobile phone.

Detective Constable Rachael Adams, who was the office in charge of the case, said: “Offences relating to indecent images are not victimless crimes and are treated extremely seriously."

“Navarro’s conviction has come as a result of proactive investigation into child sexual exploitation. I want to make absolutely clear that accessing and sharing this type of material leaves a digital footprint."

“Suffolk Constabulary remains committed to protecting children from harm, and we will continue to use every legal and investigative tool available to identify offenders and bring them before the courts.”
