12,000 women back Lowestoft MP's legal battle over Grok
Jess Asato is taking legal action over fake sexualised images made using AI

A book with more than 12,000 messages from women across the world has been presented to Lowestoft MP Jess Asato in support of her legal action against Elon Musk’s AI company.
Asato is suing SpaceXAI over sexualised images created by its chatbot, Grok, without her consent.
The book was compiled by campaigning organisation Avaaz.
Among those who contributed was Sonia, from the UK, who wrote: “You are fighting for every woman and girl who deserves to exist in the world without her face, her body and her dignity being used as a weapon against her.”
One woman from Iraq wrote: “We are with you... because if we don't stand with you today, no one will stand with us in the future.”
Jess Asato, Labour MP for Lowestoft, said: “To know that so many women, here in my constituency and around the world, have taken the time to write messages of support is incredibly moving.
“Women and girls should be able to use social media without fearing that their photographs will be turned into sexualised images without their consent. Technology companies must be held accountable for the tools they design and operate. I want accountability for what happened to me and safeguards to stop it happening again.”
Asato is working with the Stop AI Abuse campaign to call for technology companies to be held accountable for the tools they design and operate.
