Pedestrian in her 60s hospitalised after serious Ipswich collision

Police are asking witnesses to come forward.

A woman in her 60s is in hospital after a serious collision in Ipswich on Friday (21 November).

Officers were called to Woodbridge Road, near the junction with Belvedere Road, at 7.50pm on following reports of a collision involving a white BMW 120 and a pedestrian outside the Skoda garage.

She was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital before later being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries described as potentially life-changing.

The woman remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward and are encouraging motorists driving in the area at the time with dashcams to check their footage.
