Woman arrested after man dies in Lowestoft

Suffolk police have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder following an incident in Lowestoft.

Officers were called to Sparrow’s Nest Gardens in the town at around 10:15pm last night, where a man aged in his 50s was found unresponsive. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was later declared deceased.

Suffolk police said:

"A 28-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation for questioning, where she currently remains.

This is being treated as an isolated incident and the parties involved are understood to have been known to each other."
