Police are appealing for information after three assaults in Sudbury left one man with serious facial injuries.

The incidents happened late on Thursday 13 November, with officers called to King Street at 11.26pm following reports of an assault. Altercations were also reported at both The Gainsborough and The Comfortable Cow pubs.

Two people were taken to hospital after being struck on the head, while a third person was punched in the face. A man in his 40s suffered serious facial injuries.

A 23-year-old man was arrested the following day on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was questioned at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and has been bailed with conditions until 5 January.

Police are urging anyone who saw the incidents or who has information to come forward.
