A14 shut in Ipswich after crash between two lorries
The road has been closed overnight between Sproughton and Whitehouse

The A14 in Ipswich has been closed overnight following a serious crash involving two lorries.
The road is shut westbound between J55 near Copdock and J52 near Claydon. The carriageway closure is expected to remain in place for several further hours.
The collision has resulted in significant diesel spillage across lanes one and two .
Suffolk Police are currently carrying out a collision investigation. Once the collision investigation has been completed vehicle recovery and treatment of the diesel spillage will be required.
Diversion Routes
Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the below diversion
- From 155 Copdock Mill, leave the eastbound carriageway and join the A1214.
- Follow the A1214 to the junction with the A1071 and turn left.
- Continue on the A1071 to the roundabout with the B1113 and take the third exit onto the B1113.
- Proceed on the B1113 through Sproughton and Bramford to J52 Claydon, then re-join the A14.
