A date has been set for the trial of a man accused of a string of sexual assaults against four teenage males dating back to the 1990s.

Allan Grimson, of Grove Road, Hollesley, Suffolk, is accused of the rape of an 18-year-old man in "Hampshire or elsewhere" and five charges of indecent assault against the same victim between February 1 1999 and November 30 1999.

The 65-year-old is also accused of taking an indecent photo of a child and four charges of indecent assault against a second victim in "Hampshire or elsewhere" between March 26 1999 and October 31 1999.

He is also charged with a count of indecent assault of a third victim between February 28 1994 and December 31 1994, and indecent assault against a fourth victim between September 30 1998 and December 1 1998.

Hampshire Police previously said the offences were alleged to have taken place in Portsmouth and Tyne and Wear.

During a hearing at Newport Crown Court on the Isle of Wight, Judge Michael Bowes KC adjourned the case for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on June 9 with the trial listed for June 1 2026.

The judge told the defendant, who appeared by video-link from HMP Winchester and wore a green short-sleeved shirt and glasses: "Allan Grimson, I am fixing your trial date for 1st June 2026 and the next hearing in relation to this case is the plea and trial preparation hearing on the 9th June 2026 in Portsmouth."
