Three year-old injured in Saxmundham collision

Police are appealing for witnesses, after a collision in Saxmundham.

It happened on Friday 5 June at around 8:40am and involved a small red vehicle and a three year-old child, who has sustained multiple broken bones as a result of the collision.

The mother and child were on the footpath along the Main Road, near to the doctors surgery, with the child being pushed in a buggy.

The child fell out of the buggy and into the road, where a passing vehicle collided with the child, causing serious injuries.

At this time the driver and vehicle are unidentified.

A possible witness who stopped to help, then left, before details could be taken.
