Teen cyclist dies after collision with off-road vehicle on Bungay Road

An 18-year-old cyclist has died after being airlifted to hospital following a collision with an off-road vehicle on Bungay Road in Holton

An 18-year-old man has died in hospital after being seriously injured in a crash involving a bicycle and an all-terrain vehicle in Holton.

Emergency services were called to Bungay Road shortly before 7.20am on Wednesday 30 April, following reports of a collision between a cyclist and an off-road vehicle.

The cyclist, a man aged 18, was first taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital by land ambulance. He was later transferred by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he died on Friday 2 May.

Bungay Road was closed for several hours while emergency crews attended and investigators worked at the scene. The road reopened at around 3.05pm.

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to get in touch.
