Teenager charged with rape in Lowestoft
A woman in her 20s was reportedly sexually assaulted in the early hours of Sunday (5 April).
An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Lowestoft.
Suffolk Police say the alleged assault took place on Sunday (5 April) at approximately 0:10am, when a woman in her 20s and her friend entered a taxi at the Blues public house.
An unknown man joined them in the vehicle.
Upon arriving at The Volunteer public house on London Road North, the woman and the man left the taxi, heading towards Milton Road East.
It is reported that the man led the woman into an alleyway near the junction of Arnold Street and sexually assaulted her.
Following the assault, the man allegedly fled down London Road North and turned into Gordon Road.
Approximately 12 hours later, police arrested an 18-year-old man from Lowestoft.
Harvey Flory, of Shaw Avenue in Lowestoft, has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
Flory has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 7th April.
The victim is receiving support from specialist officers.
