Felixstowe Clifflands councillor unites group following recent elections

Michael Hadwen has been unanimously elected as the Leader of the Reform UK Group on Suffolk County Council following the recent county elections.

Hadwen, a councillor for Felixstowe Clifflands, was elected unopposed, with strong support from his colleagues in the group.

Prior to his active involvement in Suffolk local government, Hadwen spent over a decade working in various political and campaigning roles across the UK, including senior national leadership positions.

Most recently, he contributed to the Reform Administration within Kent County Council.

Speaking after his election, Michael Hadwen expressed his gratitude and commitment to his new role.

“It is a huge honour to have been elected Leader of the Reform UK Group on Suffolk County Council and I am honoured to have the support of my colleagues,” Hadwen said.

He emphasised the group's unity and dedication to delivering change for Suffolk residents.

“Our priority now is to provide strong leadership, stand up for local communities and ensure Suffolk gets the fresh thinking and representation it deserves,” he added.

The Reform UK Group is focused on advocating for local community interests and delivering effective governance in Suffolk County Council.
