A man arrested in Saxmundham during a national crackdown on drug dealing has been jailed for two and a half years.
Michael McDonnell, 27, of Mayflower Avenue, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday (12 August) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.
He was also ordered to pay £228 in costs, while a forfeiture order was made for drugs, a phone, and £675 in cash seized during the investigation.
McDonnell was arrested on 24 June during the national County Lines Intensification Week.
Officers stopped him in a Church Street car park, where four wraps of cocaine were found in his pockets.
Mobile phone evidence later revealed he had been involved in the supply of drugs between November 2024 and June 2025.
