Suffolk Police have revealed a religious event in Barham was brought to an early close - because they received information about a possible threat.

A spokesperson's confirmed officers worked with organisers at Shrubland Hall to make sure everyone left safely yesterday.

We're told enquiries are ongoing - and there's no wider risk to the public.

A police spokesperson said: "We understand this may cause concern to those who attended the event, however we'd like to reassure everyone that the decision to end the event early was taken with event organisers as a precaution and there is no wider threat to the public. A full investigation into the nature of the threat is now underway."
