39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder

Police are seeking information following the suspected murder of a woman in Ipswich.

Officers went to a home on Russet Road early on the morning of 10th March after concerns were raised about a woman’s wellbeing.

They found her unresponsive when they got there, and she was pronounced dead soon after.

The investigation is ongoing, and the death is being called suspicious. A Home Office post-mortem is set to happen on 11th March.

Police have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of murder, and he's being questioned at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

Officials say this seems to be an isolated case, and the individuals involved knew each other.
