Three people have been charged with burglary after £30,000 worth of stock was taken from a store in Newmarket.

It happened on Tuesday 24 December around 9.30am at the Vodaphone store in the High Street.

Three men entered the store through the front entrance and pushed staff into the back corner of the store.

The suspects then started loading an estimated £30,000 worth of stock into a bag before exiting the store with the items.

It's understood staff in the store were shaken but unhurt.

Police officers were called following the incident, and a vehicle linked to the incident was found in London later the same morning.

Met police officers arrested three men who were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Three men have now been charged:

25 year old Bobby Ezeoba of Common Road in Plumstead was charged with burglary, theft, failing to stop for police and driving without insurance.

26 year old Jevan Davis of Gilbert Road, Belverdere in Kent was charged with burglary and theft, as was 21 year old Samuel Zebo of Gorman Road in London.

All three were remanded and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 December.

Zebo and Davis were further remanded to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 23 January 2025 and Ezeboa was released with an electronic tag and curfew order.
