New rules tackling anti-social behaviour in Lowestoft

Fresh action is being taken to crack down on anti-social behaviour in Lowestoft.

East Suffolk Council has brought in a new Public Space Protection Order for the Harbour ward, making the rules stricter on things like e-scooters, public urination, and people hiding their faces.

These concerns have been raised consistently by residents and Suffolk Police, who have reported individuals using face coverings to hide their identity while behaving aggressively or engaging in nuisance activities.

The PSPO will run for a three year period, reviewed each year.
