Motorcyclist dies after crash with car in Bramford

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s, sustained serious head injuries and died five days after the crash

A man has died following a serious road traffic collision in Bramford earlier this month.

Officers were called to Paper Mill Lane by the ambulance service just after 2:20pm on Wednesday 11 June, following reports of a collision involving a black Volvo car and a black Suzuki motorcycle.

Police, National Highways, the East of England ambulance service, and air ambulance crew all attended the incident.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s, sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes’ Hospital by air ambulance in a critical condition.

He sadly died as a result of his injuries on Monday 16 June.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision or motorists driving in the area who may have dash cam footage prior to the incident are asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting 37/31596/25.
