Man stabbed during 'fight' in Kesgrave with suspect still on the run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Kesgrave this morning.

Officers were called at 9:25am to reports of an incident/fight involving two men on a cycle path near to Mead Drive.

The victim, a man in his 20s sustained stab injuries and has been taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The male suspect ran from the scene and has still not been found.

Police believe that this is an isolated incident and it is understood that the victim and suspect are known to each other.

Officers say they will be providing reassurance through foot patrols over the weekend.
