Man seriously injured after assault in Felixstowe
A man has been seriously injured after an assault in Felixstowe.
The incident happened on Hamilton Road. Police on Saturday morning after 3am.
Suffolk police stated:
"Two men aged in their 40s were walking along Hamilton Road, having walked from Bent Hill, when a male who was part of a group made a comment towards the pair. The group was made up of four males and a female. The victim replied before being hit to the head by a male member of the group. Shortly after the group ran off in the direction of Victoria Street.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance having suffered a serious head injury. He is currently in a critical condition."
