Man in court charged with intent to supply drugs near Stowmarket

Large quantity of cocaine found during vehicle search

A 35-year-old man is set to appear in court in Ipswich today charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

The charges follow a vehicle stop on the eastbound A14 near Stowmarket on 4th August.

Police stopped a white van at approximately 5:30pm and conducted a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A significant quantity of cocaine was discovered in the van, with officers estimating its street value at over £2 million.

The driver, Arminas Sotikovas, was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He is scheduled to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court later today.
