Man charged with drug and driving offences after being stopped by police in Stowmarket

A man has been charged in connection with drug dealing and driving offences after police stopped him in Stowmarket.

The car was stopped on Wednesday 7 January in Wagtail Drive, Stowmarket, where police found suspected class A drugs and cash.

The driver was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Aurel Demushi, 25, of Gilbert Road, Romford, Greater London, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, use of a motor vehicle without insurance, driving while disqualified and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on 9 January where he was remanded to next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 6 February.
