Police continue inquiries following serious incident on Curriers Lane

Five men arrested on suspicion of rape in Ipswich have been released under investigation while police inquiries continue.

The incident was reported by a woman in her 30s, alleging she was raped in the early hours of 2nd August within an address on Curriers Lane.

She is receiving support from specialist officers as she assists with the police investigation.

The men, aged 27, 31, 35, 44, and 49, were taken into custody for questioning but have been released pending further enquiries.

The investigation remains active, with officers working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The scene, initially cordoned off, has now been lifted.
