Ipswich police station closed as doors smashed

Ipswich Police Station on Princes Street is temporarily closed following the smashing of its front doors in the early hours of this morning, Friday, 28th August.
The station will remain shut until repairs are completed.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at around 2:05am today at Princes Street on suspicion of criminal damage.
He is currently being held at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning
Individuals needing assistance can visit the police website for information, advice, or to report non-urgent incidents or crimes.
The Live Chat service is available daily from 8am to 9:30pm.
For urgent administrative services, including vehicle returns, people are being advised to visit Bury St Edmunds Police Station on Raingate Street, IP33 2AP.
The force's full statement reads:
"Ipswich Police Station on Princes Street is currently closed after the front doors were smashed in the early hours of this morning, Friday 28 August.
