Ipswich man missing after cancelling trip abroad

Police are appealing for help in the search for a man who is missing after cancelling a trip abroad.
Mark Thompson was last seen on Sunday December 21 and was reported missing on Saturday December 27, Suffolk Police said.
The 55-year-old from Ipswich is described as white, 5ft7ins tall and of medium build, the force added.
He is bald, wears glasses and was last seen in a dark green tracksuit top, dark green trousers, a blue North Face jacket and white trainers.
Mr Thompson is believed to have travelled to the Heathrow Airport area, west London, on Sunday December 21, ahead of a planned trip abroad the next day.
However, police said it is understood he then cancelled the trip, checked out of the hotel two days later and has not been seen since.
The force has urged anyone who believes they have seen him or has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact Ipswich Response Investigation Team, quoting reference RID: 513280 or to call 101.
