Woman in her 70s hospitalised after serious crash in Icklingham

A serious road accident in Icklingham has left a woman in her 70s with potentially life-changing injuries, prompting police to seek witness reports.
The incident occurred just before 2:35pm on Wednesday 11th March on the B1112, Eriswell Road.
It involved a head-on collision between a white Volkswagen Scirocco and a blue Fiat Bravo.
The Volkswagen was travelling towards Eriswell when it collided with the Fiat coming from the opposite direction.
The passenger in the Fiat was transported to the hospital following the accident.
The driver of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries.
Ambulance crews attended the scene and the road was closed for several hours to manage the aftermath.
Police are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision.
They are particularly interested in hearing from motorists with dashcam footage that might help with the investigation.
