Man dies after lorry overturns on the A14

A man has died after a lorry overturned on the A14 at Trimley St. Martin yesterday.

Police were called out at around 7pm reports to that a lorry had overturned on the eastbound carriageway.

In addition to Suffolk Police, emergency services including Suffolk Fire & Rescue, the East of England Ambulance service and National Highways attended the incident.

The lorry driver, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

One lane is closed and there is slow traffic due to the accident. Barrier repairs are being made in both directions between J59 Kirton Road (Trimley St Martin / Kirton) and J58 A12 (Seven Hills).
