Former Royal Navy officer guilty of 1990s sexual assaults in Suffolk
Allan Grimson convicted of crimes against four males including a 14-year-old
Allan Grimson, a former Royal Navy petty officer previously jailed for life for the murder of two young men, has been found guilty of multiple sexual assaults dating back to the 1990s.
Grimson, 66, was tried at Winchester Crown Court for the rape and indecent assault of a teenage naval rating, and further indecent assault charges against three other male complainants.
These offences occurred between February 1994 and November 1999.
Grimson, who murdered sailor Nicholas Wright and Sion Jenkins in the late 1990s, had told police regarding one of the assaults, "If you’re going to rape somebody, to get away with it, kill it," suggesting that one of his victims was "lucky to be alive."
Jurors convicted Grimson, of Hollesley, Suffolk, on 13 counts.
He was found guilty of indecent assault against the first victim between February 28 and December 31, 1994, and the second victim between September 30 and December 1, 1998.
The rape and five indecent assault offences against the third complainant took place between February 1 and November 30, 1999.
Additionally, Grimson was convicted on charges including indecent assault and taking an indecent photograph of a 14-year-old victim between March 26 and October 31, 1999.
Grimson is scheduled to be sentenced on 6th November.
