Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service remain on scene following a large barn fire in Metfield.

The blaze involved straw bales, farm machinery, and a workshop containing acetylene cylinders and a 1,000-litre container of pine oil, which has been safely removed.

At its height, eight appliances tackled the fire with support from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews have now scaled down operations to two sectors, focusing on damping down and hotspot monitoring. A cordon remains due to structural risks and the presence of asbestos.

The public is still advised to avoid the area.
