Arrest made after serious assault in Felixstowe
Man in critical condition following head injury on Hamilton Road
A man in his twenties has been arrested after a serious assault in Felixstowe that left another man critically injured.
The incident occurred on Hamilton Road in the early hours of 18th April.
Two men in their 40s were walking along the road when a member of a group consisting of four males and one female made a comment towards them.
The victim responded before being struck in the head by one of the group members.
Following the attack, the group fled the scene towards Victoria Street.
The victim was subsequently taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition with a serious head injury.
Police, alerted by the ambulance service at 3.22am on 18th April, made an arrest in the early hours of 19th April.
The arrested individual is in his twenties and is suspected of grievous bodily harm.
Information Appeal
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, while the group comprised individuals believed to be in their late teens to early twenties.
Police are conducting an ongoing investigation, including reviewing CCTV and other inquiries in the area.
