Two fire crews and an animal rescue team worked to save a cow stuck in a river in Rendlesham.

An animal rescue team from Princes Street lifted out the cow with the help of fire crews from Ipswich East and Orford.

She's out!

Firefighters and animal rescue technicians found the cow after reports she was stuck in the river by a farmer on Saturday night (20th September).

Unfortunately, the cow rescue mission that night failed and with it being dark, the cow was reportedly left in the hands of the farmer overnight.

The next morning they encouraged the cow into a shallower area, before supporting her weight with straps and lines.

The riverbank was also reshaped and made less steep by the teams, before she could be lifted out onto the field just after 12.30pm on Sunday.
