Council flats in Ipswich to be rewired for safety
Nearly 60 blocks of council flats in Ipswich need to be rewired for safety purposes, according to the Borough Council.
The properties need new wires due to 'age and condition.'
Councillor Alasdair Ross, Portfolio Holder for Housing, said: “Our priority is to keep tenants safe and ensure that every home meets modern standards.
"This is why testing is carried out on all electrical systems in each of our 301 blocks of flats every five years."
