Man receives community order for exposing himself to women and girls
Incidents took place across Red Lodge and Swaffham Bulbeck
A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to a two-year community order after pleading guilty to five incidents of exposure.
The offences occurred between 28th October and 12th December 2025, with incidents reported in Red Lodge and Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire.
In each case, witnesses informed the police that the man was deliberately exposing himself to women and young girls.
Two of the victims were 15 years old at the time.
Following police enquiries, Gabriel Riclea, of Malt Close in Newmarket, was arrested and charged with the offences.
He admitted the acts in an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 25th August.
Riclea's community order requires him to register under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 for five years.
He must also complete a 26-day programme and undertake a 10-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
Detective Constable Rebecca McHugh, who led the investigation, commented: “Riclea’s actions were repeated, deliberate and entirely unacceptable. He exposed himself to children and to women walking or jogging alone, for his own sexual gratification."
She noted that Riclea offered no explanation or apologies for his conduct, which caused distress among victims and made others feel unsafe in their community areas.
Detective McHugh expressed gratitude to the victims for their courage in reporting the incidents and supporting the investigation.
She advised: “If unchallenged, exposure can escalate toward more serious sexual and violent offences, and I encourage anyone who has been a victim of this type of crime to report it immediately to police.”
