A domestic abuse charity in Norfolk is telling us...

It comes as National Stalking Awareness Week kicks off- with this year's campaign focussing on the importance of groups working together to tackle the issue.

It's estimated that 1.5 million adults have been stalked in England and Wales between March 2023 and 2024- according to official figures.

That equates to around one in seven people aged 16 years and over.

"It's about tackling repeat offenders"

Rhys Lloyd is from Leeway:

"If somebody is stalked or harassed on social media, it might be that they come of these platforms and therefore have less contact with friends and family, online.

"It's about tackling repeat offenders. At the moment it's far too easy for somebody to create a new account, after being reported and banned, something that creates an endless cycle of fear".
