Appeal for information after Sudbury stabbing

Police are seeking information following a stabbing incident in Sudbury in which a man in his twenties was injured.

The victim was assaulted in the beer garden of the Comfortable Cow public house on King Street on the night of 18th April.

Two men, wearing face coverings and armed with a bladed weapon, attacked the victim, inflicting a stab wound to his arm.

After the assault, the victim fled the scene with the suspects reportedly chasing him along King Street.

Officers were alerted to the situation by the ambulance service at around 11.50pm and found the injured man outside the White Horse public house on North Street.

The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in a stable condition.

The first suspect is reported to be at least 5 feet 6 inches with a skinny build, dressed in a black Adidas-style hooded top and a balaclava.

The second suspect is described as shorter than 5 feet 6 inches with a slim build, also in black clothing and a balaclava.

Police are treating the assault as a targeted attack, believing the suspects and victim were acquainted.

Officers are reviewing CCTV and conducting additional inquiries in the vicinity.

Anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage, or drivers with dash cameras who were in the area at the time, are urged to contact the police to aid the investigation.
