Appeal after woman was injured by dog bite in Saxmundham

A woman in her 50s required medical treatment after being bit by a German Shephard in Carlton Park

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog in Saxmundham.

It happened between 2:30pm and 3pm on Monday 16 March in Carlton Park.

A woman in her 50s has reported being in the North Entrance of Carlton Park, when a black and tan German Shephard dog bit her on the back of the leg.

The victim required medical treatment to puncture wounds in the form of a tetanus injection.

The owner of the dog is described as a white man, aged in his 60s, with curly grey/white hair and beard. He was wearing light beige chinos, dark blue jumper and a dark red gilet jacket.

Any witnesses are being urged to contact police in order to support their investigation.
